About MyOutdoors.net

MyOutdoors.net is an online service that allows our members to share information with the outdoor community in the form of journal entries, categorized into different sports for easy access. Journal entries are freely available to the public and can be accessed by anyone. However, only MyOutdoors.net members have the ability to create journal entries. No personal information is displayed either to the general public or to MyOutdoors.net members, unless that personal information has been willfully entered by a MyOutdoors.net member as part of their username or in a journal entry.

MyOutdoors.net is owned and operated by Gorges Software LLC. This privacy statement has been written by Gorges Software LLC and all liability pertaining to this privacy statement is taken on by Gorges Software LLC.

Information Collection and Use by MyOutdoors.net

MyOutdoors.net only collects user submitted information in the form of username, password, and email address to authenticate users and to send notifications to those users relating to the MyOutdoors.net service. MyOutdoors.net reserves this right so that we may notify users of violations to the Terms & Conditions set forth by the website (http://www.myoutdoors.net/terms.php). Users may opt-out of this service by sending an email to support@myoutdoors.net with the subject "REMOVE."


Use of Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user's computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on the MyOutdoors.net website. However, we do not and will not use cookies to collect private information from any Member or other user of the MyOutdoors.net website which they did not intentionally submit to us, other than as stated in this Privacy Policy. This site makes journal entries, chat rooms, forums, message boards, and/or news groups available to its users. Please remember that any information that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding to disclose your personal information.


Updating or Removing Information

MyOutdoors.net members may update their password by going to the support section of the website (http://www.myoutdoors.net/support.php) and filling out the "Forgot Password" form. Because MyOutdoors.net does not retain personal information, we require users to contact us at support@myoutdoors.net in order to change the username or password for an account.


Choice: Opt-out

MyOutdoors.net employs opt-out member notification only. Members who no longer wish to receive our email updates or other email notifications may opt-out of receiving these communications by following the instructions contained in the applicable email or by emailing support@myoutdoors.net with the subject "REMOVE."


Third Party Advertising

MyOutdoors.net displays ads from third-parties through advertising partners. MyOutdoors.net member accounts are secured by member-created passwords. MyOutdoors.net takes precautions to ensure that member account information is kept private. MyOutdoors.net also restricts access to member information to employees who require it to perform their job function. This is limited to the owners of Gorges Software LLC. Our site has industry standard security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. Changes in Our Privacy Policy

From time to time we may make changes to our privacy policy If we make changes, we will post them on our site to make users aware of what the changes are so users will always be aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and when we may disclose it. A User is bound by any minor changes to the policy when she or he uses the site after those changes have been posted If, however, we are going to use users' personally identifiable information in a manner materially different from that stated at the time of collection we will notify by posting a notice on our Web site for 30 days.
